Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
At this time, all sessions are held virtually, giving you the flexibility and privacy to meet from the comfort of your own space. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to ensure confidentiality and ease of access for clients across New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
In-person sessions are forthcoming.
What types of therapy do you offer?
We provide individual therapy for adults, drawing from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. Our approach integrates mind, body, and culture to support whole-person healing.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, therapy can help you make sense of what’s happening and create meaningful change. You don’t need to wait until you’re in crisis to begin—therapy can support you at any stage of your journey toward growth and balance.
What can I expect in our first session?
During your first session, we’ll discuss your goals, background, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, then we’ll begin developing a personalized plan for moving forward. It’s a relaxed, conversational process designed to help you feel safe and supported from the start.
How often will we meet, and how long are sessions?
Most clients begin with weekly 45- or 53-minute sessions, though frequency and session length are always individually tailored.
Recommendations are based on your clinical intake, baseline assessments, and a collaborative, individualized treatment plan we develop together.
As progress builds, we may transition to biweekly or maintenance sessions that align with your goals, comfort level, and pace of healing.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We’re in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health (FL & NY), Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
Private pay is also available.
What are your session fees?
Initial evaluations are $300. Standard 53-minute sessions are $200, 45-minute sessions are $175, and 30-minute sessions are $130. Payment is due at the time of session and can be made by credit card.
How do I prepare for online therapy?
Find a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection. Bring a notebook if you’d like to jot down reflections or insights. Most importantly, come as you are—therapy works best when you show up authentically, even if you’re unsure where to begin.
What if I’m unsure which type of therapy I need?
You don’t have to know that ahead of time—that’s our job. I’ll help you identify which approaches best fit your needs, whether it’s trauma-focused care, cognitive strategies, or mindfulness techniques. Each plan is uniquely tailored to your goals and comfort level.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about everything yet?
That’s completely okay. Therapy moves at your pace, not ours. We’ll begin by building trust and safety before diving into deeper work. You’re always in control of what you share and when.
